BODRUM MUNICIPALITY LAUNCHES LARGE-SCALE CLEAN-UP WITH VOLUNTEERS

In a joint effort between Bodrum Municipality and the Misgibi1Bodrum volunteer group, a major environmental clean-up campaign was carried out in the Ali Kelle Forest, Dilek Path and Kabakum Beach in Müskebi Neighborhood. The initative resulted in the collection of approximately 1.5 tons of waste.
Organized under the coordination of the Municipality’s Senitation Services Directorate, the event was attended by Deputy Mayor Tanju Aksu on behalf of Mayor Tamer Mandalinci, along with Misgibi1Bodrum volunteers and members of the municipal Search and Rescue Team under the Disaster Affairs Directorate.
Three Truckloads of Waste Removed in Two Hours
During the two-hour initiative, nearly 1,500 kilograms of waste, mostly single-use glass, were collected, filling three pickup trucks. The waste was transported to the Municipality’s Class Waste Collection Center for proper recycling.
In addition to the clean-up, municipal teams from the Support Services Directorate repaired and replaced broken fences at the Ali Kelle Forest’s scenic viewing platform.
Municipal officials stated that the collaboration between the Municipality and Misgibi1Bodrum foundation will continue as part of a scheduled clean-up programme in other areas across the district.
