Mayor Mandalinci was accompanied by Bitez Neighborhood Head Seda Özgüçlü, his deputy mayors, municipal council members and department heads. He focused on addressing concerns related to pedestrian and vehicle traffic, engaging in solution-oriented discussions with the neighborhood head, relevant deputy mayors and department heads. It was decided that immediate steps would be taken to address identified needs.
Children Were Not Forgotten
As part of his visit, Mayor Mandalinci also visited a local daycare center, where he spent time with the children and gave them gifts. He interacted with children he encountered on the streets, carefully listening to their requests.
Second Day: Visit to Bitez Coastal Quarter
On the second day, Mayor Mandalinci toured the Bitez coastal quarter, starting from the harbor and walking along the beach to meet with both tradesmen and holidaymakers. He listened to the suggestions and requests of both groups, and also conducted inspections of the local public beaches. The tour concluded with visits to businesses in the Arasta area.
Mayor Mandalinci emphasized the significance of these field visits, stating:
“Spending time with the people on the streets of Bitez has once again highlighted the importance of managing the city together and witnessing the challenges firsthand. We are committed to continue the beautification of Bodrum by working directly alongside the citizens. Beginning with Bitez Center, we visited each street, engaged with business owners and residents, and assessed various issues, from sidewalk conditions to environmental cleanliness, on-site. Together with our teams, we took swift action to address these concerns. I would like to extend my sincere gratitude to the deputy mayors, municipal council members, neighborhood head and department heads who joined us, as well as to all the citizens who welcomed us, shared their concerns, and played a vital role in making our beautiful city even more livable. We will continue to manage and enhance Bodrum together.”
