BODRUM’S BEACHES WELCOME SUMMER WITH RENEWED CHARM

The public beaches of Bodrum, which attract high interest from locals and visitors alike, are now ready for the summer season.
Beach preparation works, launched in April by the municipality’s ‘Support Services Directorate - Blue Flag Beaches Department’, have been largely completed. A total of 61 public beaches, including 9 Blue Flag beaches, are now fully prepared, with final touches ongoing at the remaining 6.
As part of the preparations, priority was given to ground leveling and environmental arrangements. Umbrellas, changing cabins, showers and toilets were maintained, repaired or renewed. Safety measures such as buoys and lifeguard towers were also reinforced. To ensure better accessibility for people with disabilities, ramps and other essential equipment were upgraded at select beaches.
In addition to the 67 public beaches under the municipality’s care (9 of which are Blue Flag certified), 18 other beaches operated by Bodrum Municipality Inc., now equipped with sun loungers, have also been made ready for public use.
Mayor Tamer Mandalinci commented on the project:
“We are preparing our public beaches so that everyone can equally enjoy Bodrum’s unique nature and sea. This year, through comprehensive improvements across 67 public beaches, we aim to provide a safer, cleaner and more accessible beach experience for both Bodrum residents and visitors. With our Blue Flag beaches, we also highlight our commitment to environmental responsibility. I sincerely thank all our team members and wish everyone a beautiful and peaceful summer season.”
