Bodrum Municipality has launched a series of street and road improvement initiative across the district, focusing on areas where infrastructure work has been completed and where maintenance is needed.

The Directorate of Civil Works is currently carrying out granite cobblestone paving on Plaj Street and surrounding alleys in Yalıkavak. The work covers a 240-meter stretch and includes the installation of 18 drainage grates and the renewal of a 50-meter rainwater pipeline. Similar paving efforts are also ongoing in Karakol and İlhan Streets within the same neighborhood. All operations are scheduled for completion before the upcoming Eid al-Adha holiday.

Asphalt Paving Expands Across the District

In addition to cobblestone work, asphalt paving continues according to the municipality’s planned schedule. Over the past week, municipal crews have laid hot asphalt on 3026 Street in Torba, Halil Saygı Street in Akyarlar and 4157 Street in Turgutreis. In Dirmil’s 6807 Street, paving was carried out using a finisher machine. Meanwhile, road cleaning was completed on Akçabük Street in Akyarlar ahead of planned concreting.

Commenting on the initiative, Mayor Tamer Mandalinci stated: "Ensuring the residents travel on safe, comfortable and modern roads is one of our key priorities. Wherever infrastructure work has been finalized, we move forward with road renewal. In pedestrian areas, we focus on both durability and aesthetic improvements.".
