Authorities have demolished unauthorized structures built along the coastline of Adaboğazı, one of Bodrum’s most pristine coves, in a coordinated operation to protect the region’s natural and cultural heritage.

Under the coordination of the Bodrum District Governorship, the demolition was carried out with the joint efforts of the ‘Muğla Provincial Directorate of Environment, Urbanization & Climate Change’, Bodrum District Police Department, National Real Estate Directorate and Municipal Police Department and Construction Control teams.

The operation targeted illegal, unlicensed buildings erected on protected coastal meadows located in the Eskiçeşme neighborhood. Adaboğazı is officially designated as a “strictly protected sensitive area” due to its ecological significance.

After the demolition, all construction materials were removed from the site. Authorities stressed that enforcement against unauthorized construction will continue, particularly in environmentally sensitive zones where any form of development is strictly prohibited.
