Addressing attendees, Mayor Mandalinci remarked, “Bodrum Municipality operates with a forward-thinking approach that prioritizes production and sustainability. ‘Agriculture is indispensable to the city.’ Encouraging local production is not merely a duty but a social responsibility and a core municipal principle.”. Mandalinci further noted that annually approximately 4 million TL is dedicated to supporting farmers through seedling distribution.
Mayor Mandalinci also warned against genetically modified foods causing health issues, asserting the municipality's commitment to preserving seeds for future sustainability. “Our goal is sustainable agriculture and production. These seedlings symbolize the sweat and vision needed for a sustainable future”, he stated, announcing plans to increase distribution capacity to 300,000-350,000 seedlings next year.
