GROWING TOGETHER: BODRUM STRENGTHENS FARMERS WITH FREE PLANTS
15.04.2025

In line with its commitment to supporting agricultural production, the municipality will distribute around 250,000 vegetable seedlings to local farmers free of charge.
Produced in municipal greenhouses, the seedlings include five types of peppers (kapya, charleston, stuffed, sweet green and hot chili), two eggplant varieties, four types of tomatoes, as well as cucumbers, melons, watermelons, and Armenian cucumbers.
The seedling distribution will take place on Friday, April 25, at the Bodrum Municipality Agricultural R&D and Local Seed Center in Bahçeyaka Neighborhood, under the coordination of the Agricultural Services Directorate.
Farmers who wish to benefit from the program must apply by the end of the workday on Tuesday, April 22, to the Agricultural Services Directorate. Applicants must reside and produce within the Bodrum district and provide documentation proving their status as a farmer (such as a Farmer Registration System certificate, Chamber of Agriculture membership, TARKO or Irrigation Union memberships).
Officials from the Agricultural Services Directorate emphasized that the municipality, under Mayor Tamer Mandalinci’s leadership, continues to expand production capacity and strengthen support for local producers:
“As in previous years, we have improved our capacity through innovative approaches. We remain committed to standing by our farmers.”
