BODRUM MUNICIPALITY UPGRADES PUBLIC SHORES BEFORE THE SEASON

As summer approaches, Bodrum Municipality is hard at work preparing its public beaches to welcome both locals and tourists for the sunny months ahead.
Teams from the Department of Support Services are currently finalizing maintenance and production efforts at the municipality’s workshops. A total of 87 public beaches—nine of which hold the prestigious Blue Flag status—are being equipped and refurbished as part of this extensive seasonal preparation.
The efforts include the maintenance and repair of: 1,980 beach umbrellas, 2,400 sun loungers, 30 outdoor shower cabins, 47 changing booths, 1,900 safety buoys, 14 accessible sea entry ladders and 116 meters of accessible beach walkways.
Some beach equipment that has reached the end of its service life is also being replaced or reproduced by municipal teams.
Following the Eid holiday, field crews will begin implementing these improvements across the beaches, ensuring everything is in place for a smooth and comfortable start to the summer season.
