EMBARKING ON A JOURNEY THROUGH HISTORY: BODRUM'S CULTURAL TALKS CONTINUE

Bodrum Municipality continues to spotlight the region’s rich historical and cultural heritage through its ongoing Cultural Talks series, organized by the “Pedasa and Leleg Civilization Research & Application Department” under the Directorate of Culture & Social Affairs.
Throughout March, the series welcomed four distinguished speakers at the ‘Nurol Cultural Center’ and ‘Inspera Culture & Arts Center’. The lectures explored the deep roots of the area’s past, drawing strong public interest from local residents, guides, civil society organizations and municipal representatives.
Key topics included: Özay Kartal: A Journey to Ancient Halicarnassus, Reyhan Destan: Philosophy, Thought, and Culture in the Age of Herodotus, Canan Küçükeren: The Carian Civilization, Aykut Özet: Archaeological Research in Bodrum and Surrounding Areas
Each speaker was honored with a certificate of appreciation and a small gift in recognition of their contributions. Attendees praised the initiative and expressed strong support for the continuation of such enriching programs.
The Cultural Talks series will continue in April, featuring academics from Muğla Sıtkı Koçman University and academicians. The events aim to foster greater cultural awareness and are open to the public.
