CARE BEYOND SHELTER: BODRUM REACHES OUT WITH RAMADAN KINDNESS
01.04.2025
Bodrum Municipality continues to show its commitment to care and compassion by reaching out to vulnerable residents benefiting from temporary shelter and health support services during the holy month of Ramadan.
As part of ongoing social efforts, municipal teams from the Health Services Office, under the Directorate of Culture and Social Affairs, visited individuals staying at the Temporary Shelter Center. During their visits, they delivered warm holiday wishes and greetings from Mayor Tamer Mandalinci, ensuring that no one felt forgotten during this special season.
Support for Bedridden Patients
In addition to shelter support, the municipality also made home visits to bedridden residents across the peninsula, offering both moral support and practical assistance. The visits aimed to lift the spirits of those dealing with chronic illnesses, while also checking in on their families and any ongoing needs.
Mayor Mandalinci emphasized the importance of standing by residents facing health challenges, saying that the municipality will continue to support patients and their families in overcoming daily hardships, especially during meaningful times like Ramadan and Eid.
These uplifting visits will continue throughout the Eid holiday as part of the municipality’s broader commitment to community well-being.
Bodrum’s Health Services Office currently operates one patient transport ambulance and two accessible transport vehicles for individuals who are disabled, bedridden or otherwise unable to get to or from the hospital independently. The service ensures that medical care is within reach for all.
Residents in need of medical transport or health-related support can call the Health Services Office at (0252) 358 67 04 or the municipal call center at 444 00 48 for more information.
