In preparation for the busy holiday season, Bodrum Municipality has welcomed a new group of sanitation personnel who immediately rolled up their sleeves for pre-Eid cleanups across the district.

A total of 68 new sanitation personnel officially began work after successfully completing interviews held during the municipality’s recruitment drive in March. Following orientation training led by Sanitation Department Director Serkan Kanik at the municipal depot in Konacık, the new employees headed straight into action.

Divided into three teams, the new staff carried out extensive cleaning operations in key areas including Bodrum, Gümbet, Bitez, Turgutreis, Yalıkavak and Gündoğan, ensuring that streets and public spaces were spotless ahead of Eid celebrations.

The Sanitation Department will continue its round-the-clock operations throughout the holiday, now reinforced by the new team members. An additional 13 recruits are set to join the ranks after Ramadan, bringing the total number of newly hired cleaning personnel to 81.
