With thousands of visitors expected, the festival will showcase a wide variety of local herbs, natural products and traditional flavors of Bodrum’s renowned cuisine.
A Celebration of Aegean’s Natural Flavors
The festival will feature an abundance of locally grown herbs such as acı ot (bitter herb), hemlock, wild fennel, radish greens, asparagus and island lettuce. These herbs, known for their health benefits and unique taste, will be directly available from local producers.
In addition to fresh herbs, visitors will have the chance to explore a variety of local delicacies, including olive oil, curd cheese, homemade jams, natural soaps and handcrafted goods. The event presents an excellent opportunity for both tasting authentic Aegean flavors and supporting local producers.

The festival is not just about tasting but also about learning and engaging. Renowned chefs and culinary experts will host workshops and tasting sessions dedicated to Aegean cuisine. Visitors will also have the chance to participate in talks featuring influencers and food writers, discussing the importance of wild herbs and healthy eating habits.
Music, Dance & Cultural Performances
Beyond food, the festival will offer a vibrant entertainment program. Live concerts featuring local and national artists will energize the atmosphere, while traditional folk dance performances and cultural shows will immerse visitors in the spirit of the Aegean.
Last year, the event attracted over 80,000 visitors, solidifying its status as one of the largest gastronomy and cultural festivals in the Aegean. This year, Bodrum’s Bitter Herb Festival is set to once again offer an unforgettable experience, where nature and culture intertwine to create lasting memories.
