Projects: THE FOOD BANKING SYSTEM PROJECT LAUNCHED

As part of our efforts to prevent food waste, we have implemented the Food Banking System Project through a collaboration protocol signed between Bodrum Municipality and the Social Assistance Association.

Through the project initiated by the Directorate of Financial Services, the Social Services Unit teams of the Directorate of Culture & Social Affairs reach out to those in need.

Within the scope of the Food Banking initiative, Bodrum Municipality provided food support to a total of 1,750 households in 13 neighborhoods during the first 6 months of 2023. Our teams handle donation tracking, acceptance, and approvals through the municipality's 'Excess Food Portal'.
