LEGAL ACTION TAKEN AGAINST WORKS DISRUPTİNG PUBLIC ORDER DURING THE CONSTRUCTION BAN
Following the start of the seasonal construction ban on 15 May, Bodrum Municipality’s Municipal Police (Zabıta) teams stepped up inspections across the district. During checks, penalty procedures were applied to construction sites operating in breach of the ban, as well as to concrete mixers and vehicles carrying out excavation and hauling works.
As a result of these inspections, a total of 770 enforcement actions were issued, with fines totalling 10,340,000 TL under the relevant provisions of the Misdemeanours Law, on the grounds of non-compliance with official orders and noisy working practices.
