Ahead of Eid al-Adha, Bodrum Municipality continues its preparations without interruption. Throughout the holiday period, we will remain on the ground to help both local residents and visiting guests enjoy a safe, orderly and comfortable holiday in Bodrum.
Designated Livestock Sales and Slaughter Areas
In co-ordination with the Bodrum District Governor’s Office (Kaymakamlık), livestock sales areas have been designated in Bodrum Centre, Turgutreis, Gümüşlük, Yalıkavak, Gündoğan and Mumcular. In addition, to ensure residents can carry out slaughter in hygienic and healthy conditions, six modern slaughter sites have been prepared. These arrangements prioritise public health, environmental protection and animal welfare. Support will also be provided to facilitate the delivery of hides after slaughter to the Turkish Aeronautical Association (Türk Hava Kurumu).
Enforcement for Non-Compliance
Slaughter will be permitted only in the designated areas. Municipal Police teams (Zabıta) and law enforcement units will issue the necessary warnings and take action where rules are not followed. Any violations will be formally recorded, and sanctions will be applied in accordance with the Environmental Law.
All Municipal Services on Duty
During Eid al-Adha, our teams will operate under a planned duty schedule across the following directorates: Public Works, Support Services, Parks and Gardens, Cleaning Services, Municipal Police (Zabıta), Veterinary Services, Press and Media, Public Relations, and Culture and Social Affairs.
