SEABED-CLEANING PROGRAMME REACHES ITS TENTH STAGE THIS YEAR IN TORBA

As part of the municipality’s seabed-cleaning programme, carried out for eleven years under the slogan “Blue Suits the Sea Best”, the tenth stage of this year’s activities was held in Torba. The traditional clean-up, organised in Bodrum’s distinctive bays, was coordinated by our Support Services and Cleaning Affairs Directorates and delivered by a volunteer diving team.
During the operation, our team of divers—made up of volunteer municipal staff—recovered a small amount of waste from the sea. The low volume of debris once again highlighted the positive impact of awareness-raising efforts on environmental responsibility.
At the end of the event, the collected waste was displayed in front of our municipal café on Torba beach to raise public awareness. It was then transported to the 1st Class Waste Drop-off Centre located in Konacık Mahallesi for recycling procedures.
