THIRD STAGE OF THE SEABED CLEAN-UP CAMPAIGN HELD IN BİTEZ

The third stage of the seabed-cleaning programme, maintained for 11 years under the slogan “Blue Suits the Sea Best”, was carried out on Bitez Beach. Organised to protect Bodrum’s blue waters, the operation recovered a wide range of waste from the sea, including glass and plastic bottles, drink cans, plastic crates and a car tyre.
Coordinated by the Support Services Directorate and Cleaning Affairs Directorate, the work was delivered by a volunteer diving team made up of municipal staff. A total of 223 kg of waste was removed from the seabed.
