VICTORY DAY CELEBRATIONS IN BODRUM



August 30th Victory Day celebrated with enthusiasm in Bodrum

The 102nd anniversary of the August 30 Victory Day celebrated with great enthusiasm in Bodrum. For this special day ,which one of the most important symbol war of independence , were held various activities in Bodrum.
As part of the activities for Victory Day on August 30th An official program, which one arranged by district governership in the morning hours ,started with wreaths in Bodrum Municipality Square.
The ceremony was attented by CHP Muğla Deputies Süreyya Öneş Derici, Bodrum District Governer Mustafa Çit, Mayor Tamer Mandalinci, Garrison Commander Colonel Ertan Benli, Deputy Chief Public Prosecutor  Sezgin Kılıccı, TCG Gaziantep Ship Commander Sea Staff Colonel Ömür Özdemir, Muğla Low Society Bodrum District Representative Lawyer Onursal Özbek, representatives of political party, municipal council members, representatives of NGOs, veterans, teachers,students and citizens.

Gorgeous Torchlight Processions

Thousands of citizens attended the torchlight procession, which passed in front of Milta Bodrum Marina and continued to Bodrum Municipality Square, and concurrently started from Akçaalan and extended to Turgutreis Atatürk Square.

Two Different Locations Two Special Concert 

As part of the celebrations held for the 102st anniversary of 30 August Victory Day, concerts were held in two different locations in Bodrum. 

Bodrum Kent Orchestra taked the stage in Municipality Square, while  Emirhan and Görkem Band performed in Turgutreis Atatürk Square.
Mayor Mandalinci ,who participated in the programs Belediye Square and Turgutreis Atatürk square , stated that in his speech was a big honored to celebrating together  young and old a like 102st anniversary of 30 August Victory Day  and said: 

“I would like to make promise to the Republic of Turkey founded by Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, as the young people to whom he entrusted Turkey in the second century of our republic, and as the Turkish youth whose quest and steps will not cease to approach the level of the contemporary, secular, luminous and contemporary civilizations he established. We will protect the Republic, our principles, our reforms and Atatürk. “Long live the republic, long live the secular Republic of Turkey, long live Atatürk's principles and reforms.”
