Bodrum Municipality Teams carried out an extensive cleaning operation throughout the Torba District as part of the ongoing cleaning campaign.
The clean-up initiative, launched under the directive of Mayor Tamer Mandalinci, was carried out extensively in Torba Neighborhood with 108 personnel and 16 vehicles from various municipal departments.
Coordinated by the municipality’s Cleaning Services Directorate, the operation involved personnel from the Support Services, Parks & Recreation Areas, Municipal Police, Civil Works, Veterinary Services, Cultural & Social Affairs, Media & Public Relations, Financial Services, Urban Planning, Building Control and Private Secretary departments.
The clean-up activities included weed removal, waste collection, pruning of trees and shrubs encroaching on roads, washing, sweeping, container repair, maintenance and cleaning, along with other pre-planned manufacturing, maintenance and repair tasks in the area.
After the comprehensive clean-up effort, which was attended by Torba Neighborhood Head Fatma Kavcar, Cleaning Services Director Serdar Kaya and Support Services Director İzzet Mert Kallem, the municipality’s First-Class Waste Collection Center reported collecting 130 kilograms of glass, 55 kilograms of plastic, 8.5 kilograms of aluminum, 7.5 kilograms of paper and cardboard, 258 kilograms of tires and 34 kilograms of other waste.
The clean-up campaign will continue in other neighborhoods as planned.
