The municipal teams conducted an extensive cleaning operation in the Gündoğan, Farilya and Küçükbük neighborhoods as part of a major clean-up initiative.
The clean-up campaign was carried out across Gündoğan with the involvement of 95 personnel and 12 vehicles from various municipal departments.
City Council Member İbrahim Özten, who is responsible for Gündoğan and its neighboring areas, Deputy Mayor Tanju Aksu, Farilya Neighborhood Headman Akın Yılankaya, Küçükbük Headman Ali Akbulut, Head of Cleaning Services Serdar Kaya and Head of Support Services Department İzzet Mert Kallem all participated in the clean-up effort. During the day-long operation, Gündoğan Neighborhood Headman Ali İneci, who was unable to join due to a recent traffic accident, was visited at his home.
The clean-up was coordinated by the municipality’s Cleaning Services Department, with contributions from Support Services-, Parks and Gardens-, Municipal Police-, Civil Works-, Veterinary Services, Culture and Social Affairs, Press and Public Relations, Financial Services, and the Private Secretariat departments. The operation included weed and waste removal, pruning of trees and shrubs overhanging roads, washing, sweeping, container repair and maintenance, and general clean-up of picnic areas.
Recycling Notice to the Shopkeepers
The Cleaning Services and Municipal Police teams also provided verbal notices to shopkeepers in Gündoğan, informing them about the necessary steps for proper storage and recycling of packaging waste. Additionally, In addition, renovation work has begun on the waste collection areas.
