BODRUM MUNICIPALITY HOSTS PRESS CONFERENCE: WOMEN'S VOICES
Bodrum Municipality conducted a press conference titled "Women's Voices" on November 25, the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women.
Organized by the Directorate of Women & Family Services of Bodrum Municipality in collaboration with the Bodrum Women's Solidarity Association, the conference was attended by the Mayor Ahmet Aras.
The event was attended by Deputy Mayor Ummahan Yurt; Umut Anıl Özdoğan, the President of CHP Bodrum Women's Branch, Figan Erozan from Bodrum Women's Solidarity Association, members of Bodrum City Council Women's Assembly, guests from political and civil society organizations, women, press members and relevant municipal department staff.
The programme, opened by the presenter Banu Tarancı, began with an overview of “the Equality Studies and Anti-Violence Policies against Women” conducted by Bodrum Municipality's Directorate of Women & Family Services since 2019.
Towards the conclusion of the programme, women aspiring for political representation were given the opportunity to speak and introduce themselves.
