Bodrum marked Teachers' Day on November 24 with a comprehensive program of activities. Mayor Aras and municipal teams conducted school visits as part of the celebrations.
The Teachers' Day festivities commenced at Municipality Square with a wreath-laying ceremony at the Atatürk Monument.
Dignitaries attending the ceremony included Bodrum District Governor Mustafa Çit, Mayor Ahmet Aras, Bodrum District National Education Director Bülent Aldal, municipal department heads, representatives of political parties and NGOs, as well as students and teachers from local schools.
District National Education Director Aldal delivered a speech during the ceremony, reflecting on the significance of the day and extending warm wishes to educators.
The Teachers' Day programme continued at the Herodotus Culture Center. Prior to the programme, Governor Çit, Mayor Aras, Director Aldal and protocol members inaugurated an art exhibition prepared by students and teachers.
Starting with a moment of silence and the national anthem, the programme continued with a speech by District National Education Director Aldal. Following the speeches, awards were presented to students who excelled in painting, poetry and composition, as well as to teachers who achieved success in table tennis and the "3-Point Shootout" basketball tournament.
The Teachers' Day programme concluded with a live folk dance performance by teachers and captivating shows prepared by students.

Mayor Ahmet Aras, accompanied by Deputy Mayors İbrahim Akbaş, İlknur Ülküm Seferoğlu, Ummahan Yurt, Yaşar Çelikkan, the Director of Culture & Social Affairs Durmuş Turkan, Press & Public Relations Director Selçuk Şimşek, Director of Agricultural Services Mehmet Ali Bahar and Zoning & Field Solution personnel, visited schools to extend Teachers' Day wishes and present flowers.
