SECOND PHASE COMPLETED AT KIZILAGAC MARKETPLACE AND SOCIAL EVENT AREA

Bodrum Municipality has completed the second phase of works at the Kızılağaç Covered Marketplace and Social Event Area.
The new stage added a 75-square-metre multi-purpose meeting hall and shared-use areas to the facility, whose first phase was opened last year.
The meeting hall is planned to host training sessions and handicraft courses in cooperation with the Public Education Centre. The shared areas will also be available for neighbourhood events such as weddings and charity meals outside regular market days.
The works included hygiene-focused automatic systems, a three-tonne water tank, a booster system and infrastructure improvements to address rainwater problems. Paving, pavement arrangements and concrete ground works were also completed around the marketplace.
With the second phase now complete, the facility will be able to serve residents not only as a marketplace, but also as a year-round venue for social, cultural and community activities.
