MUNICIPAL STAFF RECEIVE EMERGENCY ACTION PLAN TRAINING

Bodrum Municipality has held Emergency Action Plan training to prepare staff for possible incidents including earthquakes, fires, floods, sabotage and other emergencies.
The training took place at Herodot Cultural Centre ahead of the municipality’s annual emergency drills. It was delivered by Bodrum Municipality Civil Defence Specialist Mukadder Yurtışığı.
A total of 123 staff members from Emergency Action Plan teams across 26 municipal directorates attended the sessions. The training covered the duties and responsibilities of rescue, protection, fire-fighting and first-aid teams established under Occupational Health and Safety Law No. 6331. Participants were also briefed on relevant procedures under fire safety, civil defence and anti-sabotage regulations.
Staff received information on how municipal teams should respond to fires, explosions, natural disasters, chemical and radioactive incidents, health and biological threats, and security-related risks.
The programme aimed to strengthen coordination between emergency teams and support faster, more effective response in possible disasters and emergencies.
Bodrum Municipality said it would continue training activities to improve staff awareness and preparedness, with the aim of maintaining safe and uninterrupted public services.
